The “Flo” Tour
Visit the world of Flo Bones!
This tour is great for when you don’t have the energy for walking around central London, and is perfect for when you are visiting with non-Lockwood & Co fans. Unlike our other tours, you will need to plan a little in advance to ensure you don’t miss the boat, however, we guarantee you will think the planning worthwhile.
You can start this tour at any point on the River Thames, but we recommend beginning at Westminster Pier. If you haven’t visited Westminster yet on your travels, you can fit in a cheeky visit to the Deprac HQ before boarding!
To make the most of the sites on this trip, we recommend you consult the tides times for the Greenwich area. (See links below). If possible, time your arrival at Greenwich for around low tide. This will ensure you can fully appreciate the two main beaches: The Cruel World beach and The Cold Maiden Beach. But don’t worry if this isn’t possible, there is still plenty to see.
The boat trip passes several Lockwood locations which are visible from the water. We recommend loading the George’s Gazetteer map onto your phone so you are able to view your current position in relation to the tour map. This way you won’t miss Fairfax Iron, Flo’s Cafe, and Winkman’s Warehouse. Joplin’s Flat is surrounded by a high wall, so the only opportunity to see the building is from the boat.
Non-fans will love the trip up the river, passing the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. The destination pier is also Greenwich, a district packed with art, historical and scientific sights, plus if you climb the hill to the Greenwich Observatory, you will be rewarded with one of the most iconic and impressive views of the London skyline!
Our walking tours are free and if you book with our guides, you will receive an official copy of our tour map. For those who do not wish to take part in our official tours, we are including the map here for you to print off. A lot of hard work has gone into the development of these tours and the production of the maps. Please do not distribute these maps without prior consultation.
